Dating back to 1616, the pub offers a unique glimpse into the past. And when the sun is shining, the spacious beer garden, complete with a historic well, provides the ideal setting for a leisurely drink or two.

As a Grade II* listed building, every corner of The Old Gate Inn tells a story. There is a long-standing belief that its beams are salvaged from ships of the Armada. There are two original fire ranges and an oak-panelled haunted room. Bonnie Prince Charlie and his army billeted at the Inn before retreating from Derby during their invasion of England in December 1745.
